Nigeria Polytechnic lecturers, ASUP, suspend strike

Nigerian Polytechnic lecturers have suspended their indefinite strike currently in its third month; and agreed to return to work.
The lecturers, members of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, agreed to suspend the strike on Tuesday afternoon, the National Publicity Secretary of the Union, Clement Chiamen, told PREMIUM TIMES.
The lecturers’ decision follows the meeting they had with the federal lawmakers and ministers last week, after which they said the National Executive Committee of ASUP would meet to review the government’s offer.
