Nationwide Strike
The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics
(ASUP) has
declared a fresh nationwide strike yesterday
28th of September, 2013.
The strike initially started early this year, but
the federal
government still failed to meet the demands
of the
association for a period of 81 days, the union
decided to
place it on suspension and now it's back.
National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Clement
Chirman,
who disclosed this in Jos, added that the
decision to
resume the strike that was earlier suspended
was reached after the union's NEC meeting in
Abuja.
